USBTA & CTTSO (Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office) Have partnered  with the ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FL BOMB SQUAD To sponsor the first annual BOMB TECHNICIAN CRITICAL SKILLS CHALLENGE (TOP BOMB TECHNICIAN COMPETITION) & MANUFACTURER TECHNOLOGY TRAINING EXPO

Public Safety and Military Bomb Technicians will be using a variety of tools/equipment provided by our Industry partners in a critical skills challenge. This is an Individual competition taking place over 4 days. The Bomb Technicians will be challenged in 10 operational scenarios designed to measure their own critical skills while using and evaluating industry provided tools/equipment.  Participants must bring their own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).  All other tools, accessories and equipment will be provided.  Friday Dec 7  The Top Bomb Technician will be recognized. 

During the week there will be Training for Observers and Bomb Technicians who are not participating in the challenge but will be involved in task oriented training scenarios involving the Industries tools and equipment.

EOD & EOD Industry Day on the Hill

The USBTA will be co-sponsoring with NDIA EOD Day on the Hill November 14 2018 and EOD Industry Day on the Hill February 12, 2019.

Both of these events are in support of the EOD Caucus to educate those in Washington D.C on the Bomb Technician Community and the Industry who supports it.

    Ravens Challenge is an interoperability training exercise involving Military and Public Safety Bomb Technicians conducting Render Safe Operations in a challenging environment.  We would strongly recommend any active Bomb Technician to look into attending.  Please refer to the events section for dates and locations

    The USBTA will be sponsoring Training Exercises throughout 2019. These events will be at no cost to any active Public Safety or Military Bomb Technicians. The manufacturers will be given the opportunity to display current and future technologies and assist with task oriented or scenario based training exercises. When these events are posted, please refer to the Events/Training Tab for dates and registration.
